Kefalonia - Sailing in the Ionian with Lefkas Yachts

Kefalonia is the largest island of the Ionian and one of the most popular sailing destination of the Ionian. Fiskardo which is at the north east tip of the island is just 12 nm far from the south tip of Lefkas and is a place that you have to visit if you sail around.Fiscardo is famous for the traditional cousine and also for the idyllic scenery with the colorful little houses. The area between the east coast of Kefalonia and the west coast of Ithaca is ideal for sailing as the afternoon breeze in the canal will give you the chance to sail souther in a nice broadreach.Agia Efimia is the very next destination at the east coast and further south you will meet Poros . At the south tip of   the island are Lixouri and Argostoli which are the bigest towns of the island .Assos at the north west tip of the island is a traditional fishing village which worths to visit .All around the island you will find many bays in small gulfs and the famous bay of Myrtos at the west coast a few miles south of Assos which is on of the most polular bays in Greece.
